Hurshtown 50th Anniversary and Family Fishing Day

Help celebrate the Hurshtown Reservoir’s 50th anniversary on this FREE fishing day! No fishing licenses are required for anyone to participate. And there’s more than just fishing. Enjoy foot darts, foot golf, slackline, nine square in the air, and the infamous BUBBLE MACHINE. Free kayaking and rowing will also be available. Countryside Church of Christ will host a free family picnic following the fishing awards with food available first-come-first-served. Those who want to fish must bring their own bait, tackle, and bucket.

Fishing Derby Details The fishing derby is open to all ages. All children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Prizes will be awarded 5 age categories. Each participant may enter only one fish. On-site registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Fishing begins at 8:00 a.m. Weigh-in 11:00; Awards 12:00 p.m.; Must be present to win. Bring your own bait, tackle and bucket to hold your fish.  No fishing licenses is required today! This contest is catch and release only.

Admission to the reservoir is $4 per vehicle. The fun and games are free!
